I am so very happy right now. Many of you here won't know that I had a mastectomy due to Breast Cancer a few years ago.I have not worn a bathing suit since my 2002 cruises because of it. I found a company online that had the sharpest bathing suit. I tried it on a minute ago. It is so sharp. Has insert pockets and the cut of it flatters my figure to a tee. Not old fashion looking at all. If anyone knows of any women with the same problem finding nice bathing suits, the company is World Wide Aquatics. They have a special section. So sorry this has nothing to do with the ships, ports, etc., but there may be women on this board that may want this info. Thanks for listening to me gush with happiness. Can't wait til my cruise to wear it http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I'm very happy for you.
Any time a woman finds a bathing suit that she can feel comfortable in, it is a day to celebrate, but I'm sure this is even more special to you because of the mastectomy.
I'm sincerely thrilled for you. Feeling good about how you look makes your vacation even better!!
PS I'm extremely happy that you are healthy, which is obviously the most important thing!

It is nice to hear from positive people with regard to cancer. As someone who studies and very closely watches the stock market, I have been following and invested in a company that has a Breast Cancer drug that has had positve results in trials. It has asked for fast track approval with the FDA. The drug is Abraxane, the company is American Pharm. Partners (APPX). It will be a competitor to Taxol, but with less toxic side affects. The bio companies have made major advances in recent years. Martha should have been patient.
I'm sure you will look terrific in your bathing suit! Enjoy and God Bless!!

I love your post. I just went swimsuit shopping too, but other than being middle-aged I have nothing to make it really challenging. I'm so happy for you. Buying a swimsuit is so daunting anyway and I love that you have something that makes you feel good. I could almost cry!!
Have great cruise and again I'm so happy for you! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Thank you everyone for the kind words. This bit of happiness was so necessary for me right now. You see, I suffered a stroke 4/7, and during the MRI taken then, a large tumor was discovered at the roof of my throat. Today my ENT specialist ruled out a polyp, and they are now suspecting a malignacy metastacizing from the breast cancer. Between the 2 heart surgeries, breast cancer, stroke, and possible new cancer,I am not fearful. I am claiming that I will be on my cruises, in my new bathing suit http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif . God is not going to desert me now.
Enjoy your cruises, but more important, enjoy your life. Destiny...I will see you in June http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

God bless you,and please keep in touch with us.
My MIL,and my step Mom,were both diagnosed with BC,within 8 months of each other. Both at about the same stages, both the same age.MY MIL had had a really hard time. She had immediated MAstectomy and reconstruction on both, but had not head any spread until recently. But she has been very ill.
My Step Mom,only had in one breast, but also in back and liver, and had the one removed. They have done 3 different kemo's on her, none have stopped growth, but she has done so well.RIght now she is getting hers through a pump she wears for about 4 days. She was on the Rhapsody with us last year, and is booked to return with us in Sept.I am constantly amazed at the strength and courage you ladies all have.
Again,God bless you..and go get your DESTINY.

INCHARGE, you should also post this on the Cruise Fashions board. Really great bunch of gals (and sometimes guys!), and some may benefit or know someone in your same situation who would really appreciate this info.
My prayers are with you. Heres to many more sailings! You Go Girl!
