Just curious, I can't remember but do they ever show regular TV shows on carnival, I will be in the inspiration when the friends finale is aired and thought maybe they might have a showing of it if they do that sort of thing, anyone know??

Thanks!

You are able to get the broadcast network feeds on the cabin TV.

No idea if they would have a "party" for the Friends finale. It would be up against playoff hockey and basketball (and Survivor!), so I would think the TVs in the sports bar would be out.

Perhaps something else in the works as well. Watch this space.

I know on other cruise lines, such as NCL, they have more recent movies that play around the clock (like those out on pay-per-view). Does Carnival also have that?

BTW, go Wings go.

On the Pride last week we had all 4 major networks as well as tons of pay-per-view movies.

and don't laugh, but the three or four nights that we actually turned on to network broadcasts, we also got a feed of local news channel 35 WSEE in Erie.
I have no clue why? How'd they do that? http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
And why? I'd think Chicago, New York and LA would be the 'feed' of choice.

Thanks, mohavemommy. I'm leaving on the PRIDE this Sunday. Good to know I can get my local news fix. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Never even gave it a thought....damn, if I miss SURVIVOR, I'll go into convulsions. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I'm sure they'll have my LAKERS on in the Sports Bar, reigning certain death down on the Spurs. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif (good chance I'll have to eat those words, too). http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

When I sailed on the mexican riviera on the Elation we got the networks, but they were all east coast. I watched NYPD Blue at 7:00 instead of 10:00. If the NBC affiliate is out of New York you will have to adjust to whatever time you are on. If you are out of Florida you would probably have East Cost times. Good Luck.

I'll die if I can't see my SPURS. The highlight of my basketball season is to see the Spurs crush the Lakers!!!

Unforturnatlly, we will be on our first night of the cruise (May 9th, Elation) when the last episode of Survivor airs.

I definately will be taping my shows because it isn't every day you get to go on a cruise and gamble http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif(that's another story)

My DH thought I was crazy because I went to our room to watch Survivor when we went on a cruise to Mexico. Also, our local news (Nashville) was on. I was able to keep up with our local news while in Key West and Cozumel. It was kinda funny.

Not only do they show major networks prime time but we also received local NY news shows. It was great because we were on a cruise in Feb 03, and we saw that NY had 20 inches of snow when we were basking in 85 degree sun. It made the cruise that much more enjoyable. The only problem was we had late sitting which was at 8:00 which was the same time as American Idol and Bachelor which they didn't want to miss.

We just came back from a cruise on the RC Explorer which had no programming at all except two movies which they played all day and CNN reports on three stations. The kid went through TV withdrawal.
