Question about Costa Maya- do you dock or is it a tinder port

Have never been there before- so was just wondering if you dock or is it the dreaded tenders haha
ALso is the beach with walking distance or do you need to take a cab?

You dock in Costa Maya. A beach are has been developed adjacent to the pier.

You will dock at the pier... as for the so-called beach.... it is next to the pier and within walking distance, but not a very nice beach last time I was there http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif Very rocky, murky, and just not a beach I would stay at for very long !

There is a beautiful beach further inland that clients rave about though.

As for me... I went to the shopping area near the pier where there is a pool w/ swimup bar and very nice and relaxing where you can see the ships docked.... great pictures w/ background to be had !

You dock and there is a beach at the end of the pier.

Yes you dock.....and do carry some type of water shoes, you won't be able to stand all the rocks....OUCH!!!!
