Steak House??

Can any one recommend a good steak house in thr FQ or Downtown, at reasonable prices. We have done the the Mannys, Ruth Crist etc.. and want smaller portions at reasonable prices. Wine is a must. Thanks

The only real steak houses are Morton's and Shula's, but both are very expensive.

Both of the filetdishes are excellent, as is the duck. A very cozy place with live music and reasonable prices.

My vote is for Dickie Brennans. I can't say how reasonable the prices are but the food is fantastic!

Someone that we met said that the consierge in their hotel sent them to a restaurant within walking distance with a red door. They didn't remember the location or name of the restaurant. They sent the food was good, plentiful and inexpensive. Does anyone know the name and location of this restaurant?

John Besh has a steakhouse at Harrah's Casino, but also not cheap.

We were referred to Star Steakhouse which was very good and I don't think it was too expensive. It is on one of the side streets off Canal. Others may know the exact location.
