I'm so excited I just booked my 2nd cruise like 3 weeks ago! I'll be on the Glory 10/16 and I can't wait. I was on the paradise last year and loved it.

Just wanted to know what you all love to do on your curise. My boyfriend and me loved to watch the sunset and then get into the hot tub late at night with a nice cold drink, Then hitting the midnight bufet. To us THAT is what vacation is all about!

I love being on the sea (first and foremost) then after all the romantic stuff...ocean breezes, salt air, gently rocking ship, sunsets....
I just love being waited on hand and foot for one solid week!

Hmmm, no cooking, no cleaning, no phones, meeting new people, seeing new places, trying new things, being pampered by the staff, unpacking only once, the motion of the ocean, the stars at night and just plain relaxing! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Same as all the above, love the idea of unpacking once and going to several different locations. No driving involved!!!!

Florida Beach said it best for me, especially about not needing a vacation from your vacation. You are totally relaxed after a cruise. I also like the casino, disco, walking on deck at night, all feeling safe because you are not on the highways. I simply love having my napkin placed in my lap at dinners, with the waiter knowing and having my iced tea at the table each night after the first night. love it http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif On one cruise, I fell asleep early and missed dinner. Did not feel unsafe going down for pizza in the middle of the night by myself. Could not have done that on land vacation.

I thought I knew what to say until I read hstrybuf's answer and I totally agree!! No cooking no cleaning, wow. But I also like being out at the pool and doing trivia games. I like to visit new places and shop, shop, shop! I like the food on cruises and then I work them off by walking the whole ship! I like getting up early and seeing the sun rise. And I've taken a great picture of an Atlantic sunset looking towards the US!! That was fun (since I live on the east coast and normally see sunrise on the ocean).

To me, cruising is "peaceful escape". I never feel so relaxed as when looking out at the beautiful ocean from the railing of the ship. The peace that comes over me is indescribeable. I am always, every cruise, completely in awe of the beauty that God has created, and that I am actually a part of it. Nothing else in the world gives me that feeling of tranquility.

For me it is being able to put down the stressors of the "real world" for a little while, and just getting to be me. Me drinking the drink of the day. Me enjoying the fun & sun. Me winning in the casino (okay the last one has only happened on a small scale, but hey, who can't use a few extra quarters?) http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I love being out on the open water. There is a terrific sense of calm about water.

It is sooooo relaxing, no cell phones, no telephone ringing when you're trying to eat dinner. I also love that someone else has to plan my meals.

And unpacking once but going different places is huge for hubby and myself.

I love being on the ocean, having a fun, big, sparkling new ship to explore and make my home for the next week, getting to dress up every night, not having to find a designated driver to drive us home from the bar, gambling, spending money, getting to visit exotic places and not having to eat there and risk getting sick, and actually taking a vacation where you can relax and not have to do any of the work - plus I love seafood!!

I'm sorta like the above poster. Just being able to do whatever in the he!! you want to for one solid week. "So many activities, so little time". But it is strictly YOUR choice of what, when & where!! The "something for everybody" thing is what is great about a ship. Stay on the ship, get off the ship, eat, play bingo, drink swim, eat, dance, eat,lay in the sun, eat, drink, dance, sleep, eat, drink, shop, eat, drink, drink, drink, drink!!

You name it, it's there!!

Everything, What is there not to like about cruising? It is such a relaxing vacation. All of your problems seem to disappear when you're on a cruise. I'm ready to get on a cruiseship soon! I'm 5 weeks away from my summer vacation.
