Besides the chocolate that you will get on your pillow at night, if you go the Explorer's Lounge, usually after 9 PM and order a specialty coffee or after drink, they will come around with a tray of choclates.

If you mean the tasty after-dinner chocolates, you will find them in the Explorer's lounge in the evenings. Yummy!
If you mean the pillow chocolates, they will magically appear each evening.
BTW, on the old Noordam, I observed one afternoon where the BIG STASH of pillow chocolates was kept. In a little closet in the Explorer's Lounge, under lock and key.

I don't know about the Maasdam, but on the Amsterdam they had that little treats table set up before dinner in the Explorers Lounge as well. I would stop there every night on my way to the dining room for dinner and scarf a couple of pieces of the white chocolate. :)

I know all too well how hard that is and have been working at it myself.
As for that Chocolate, I have to agree with John. Those truffles in the Pinnacle are pretty good but I too like the Dark Chocolate pieces in the Explorer's Lounge that an a little Flaming Mexican Coffee and listening to the Champagne Strings sounds down right heavenly.:p

Actually, the Happy Wanderer will be called Luka :D
But if you tell us where they hide the Chocolate we can call you whatever you want to be called :D

Mary, what's the meaning of "Luka"? I don't believe I've ever heard the word.
You may not know about The Happy Wanderer. For several cruises I've done a daily journal from aboard. The title is always a variation on the song The Happy Wanderer; every entry has a title that's the name of a song---the words of the title (not necessarily the lyrics) relate somehow to the content of that day's entry.
Sweet Leilani, as I'm sure you know, is a song title.

Luka is Ruth. Basically, its your Hawaiian Name (mine is Malia)...so your diary could be "Sweet Luka." Yes, I'm familiar with Sweet Leilani :)

Mary, keeping this inline with the thread;) You know that you can have chocolate on WW as long you you count it with your points. I too have been doing WW and lots of exercise. Since they day after we got home from the Ryndam in May till this morning I have lost a total of 21 pounds. I had wanted to loose about 5 more before our Veendam cruise in about 5 weeks but I am still OK even if I only loose another 3 pounds. Then when we return I want to try to loose another 10 before our Zaandam cruise. That will get me back to what I was weighing in late 2004.
Truthfully it is my own fault for the weight gain, somw how I figured going to Alaska I needed to have a bit of fat on the bones to keep me warmer:D Plus that chocolate in the Explorer's Lounge did not help (Nor does the drinking of Asti every night on those Dam ships but we won't but that is probably a Vice I will not give up at least on the ship:o )

Come on now. Happy Wanderer has tried to fool us for years with her silly tales of cabin mates . I never believed, not for a second, all that stuff about the HAT LADY.
See , I have it on good authority, RuthC sleeps in the HAL Chocolate Closet.
Oh yeah. She snuggles right up to all those innocent chocolate Easter Bunnies. She lulls them into a false sense of security by cooing " In Your Easter Bonnet" into their long ears. Some actually tolerate it well. As for the rest, she licks them till they are drowsey. And then, oh yeah, she goes right for the juggler. She shows no mercy.
And this is just another day in the cruising life of The Happy Wanderer.

You truly look AWESOME! My DH has spent the last 9 months loosing about 65 pounds. He's so skinny, it makes me sick :p Just kidding.
My doctor had me join a health club while assigning me to a dietician and a personal trainer. They put me on a medically monitored diet that was low in fat (fewer than 20 grams per day) and low in calories (1500 or less) and high in exercise (burning at least 600 calories a day). This got me below 300 pounds fairly quickly and safely. Since then I've come back up in the calorie department to something a little more reasonable (about 1600 - 2000 per day) and allow myself a few more grams of fat. I work out every day except Sunday -- aerobic exercise every day and weight training 3 days a week -- with the objective of burning 800 - 1200 calories. My largest meal of the day is breakfast, which I eat before working out. I eat a moderate lunch and a very lite dinner (old addage: "eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a working man, and supper like a pauper"). It works. On average my body burns about 2000-2500 calories more per-day than I take in, hence I lose weight.
