?? on the dinner seating assign...if we have a party of 6 dining at the 6:15 time, does HAL determine the table for you, or can you request a window, etc, upper, or lower?? How do you know what table is yours, do you just go to the 6:15 dinner and they seat you under your name?? We have only done Princess and did not have assign. seating/times. Thanks for the help, just want to know what to expect on HAL.

6.15pm seating will be lower level. You can request a certain table through your TA. HAL can fax a copy of the DR seating plan to you or your TA. Requests are exactly that, no guarantees. When you check in, in your welcome aboard packet will be a card with your DR assigned table on it. If you don`t like your assignment, you can meet with the Maitre D` and request a change......jean:cool:

I believe 5:45 is lower, 6:15 upper. That's the way it was recently on the Noordam. You may request a table location. Your TA can handle this for you. If your reservations were not all on the same booking, make certain you are all linked so you'll be seated at the same table. You won't really know where your table is until you board. A card will be in your check-in packet. Things can switch around up until the last minute.

We'll be on the Zuiderdam shortly and the 6.15 pm seating is lower.

Noordam must be trying something different.
On all the ships except Oosterdam, 5:45 is upper and 6:15 is lower.

I forgot to mention, I am assuming that all 6 of you are not in the same cabin - really would be crowded.
If you all want to sit at the same table, have your TA get all cabin numbers, confirmation numbers, names of passengers so that he/she can request the tabel with everything interlocking.

Noordam must be trying something different. Seems there's a lot of different these days! :)

This sailing, at least, had early seating in the lower level.

Sounds as though the Noordam was doing the Leisure Dining Concept like the Oosterdam. Read the times on your card. You could arrive anytime between 5:30 and 6 - just like the Oosterdam.

Table 161 is on the lower level. I immagine that those who had a table on the upper level had pretty much the same note except their's said Upper Level with a table number for the Upper Level between the same time frame - that is the way it is worded on the Oosterdam.
