How obstructed is the view from the G cabin on the Westerdam. My wife is worried. Anyone have a picture.

From the deck plan, it looks like the G cabins are situated between the lifeboats (forward) and the tenders (aft), and have partially obstructed views. You can probably see straight ahead but not peripherally. The fully obstructed cabin views appear to be for cabins GG and H where the bulk of the boat would be in front of the window. When the tenders are lowered for trips to ports where you anchor (not dock) you will have a clear view. Of course this depends on how accurately the deck plan configurations are drawn.
If you want a true ocean view from your cabin, do not choose one of these as you'll most likely be disappointed.

G cat staterooms have a winch from the tenders/lifeboats directly in front of them. Yes, the deckplan shows a gap between the boats, but remember that there has to be a mechanism to keep the boats going up and down. To top it all off, the H cat staterooms have an unobstructed view when those boats are lowered, but the G cat staterooms will always have the winch in front of them.
