Hi to all,
We have never sailed on HAL before and was wondering if they do a special "drink of the day";) like carnival?
If so what "drink of the day" was your favorite?:D
Thanks in advance
Denise

I think there is a drink of the day special, as well as a "mocktail" of the day. I don't really pay attention to that as I have my own potent potable of choice. :D

Chocolateof any kind seems to suffice :) Hot, milk, chocolate-tini, am I missing anything?

We were on the Zuiderdam in October last year and they always had a drink of the day. The only one I can remember off the top of my head was the Cosmopolitan.

HI there! I have been on 2 HAL ships and love their drinks of the day. In fact, our dinner waiter got the drift and brought me one every night on our most recent cruise. They were ususally $5 or so, and they had a drink of the day and a martini of the day.
They had a margarita one night, a lime smash martini which was FABULOUS, and a mojito another night.
You'll like them.

Lime - I've got a few of the Daily Programs right here. Looks like there were 3 drinks each day - 1 special, 1 martini, 1 fake. Of course you have to add the 15% gratuity to these prices.
Some of the daily specials - $4.25
Epic Spiced Cocktail
Coral Drop
Blueberry Lemon Decadence
Martini of the day - $4.25
Espresso martini
Tanq. 0010 martini
South Sea Aviation
Mocktails of the day - $2.75
Pina "not a" colada
Cool as a Cucumber
Fresh Grapefruit "not a" Cosmo
Don't remember trying any of these. Perhaps others have........ :) Don't know if I still have bar chits that we signed when purchasing drinks onboard. I don't remember drink prices being outrageous when compared to land-based bars. Have a great time.

For awhile HAL some very good drinks of the day - made with good stuff. I got a chocolate martini once that was made with Absolut. A couple of cruises later I noticed that it wasn't any longer a special of the day drink. I was still able to order one but forget to tell the bar tender that I wanted a specific vodka - used some cheap - Bankers(?) and charged $6.95 - not worth it.

I have noticed that on our last several cruises HAL has been on this mojito kick - don't like them. But HAL usually has them as the special drink for sail-away parties - already made up in fancy glasses which HAL expects you to buy.
