AllenF,
Thanks for the info. E-mail is on its way. We used to live in N. Augusta, SC and would drive 60 miles to Columbia for Dunkin Donuts coffee and donuts.

Dear Bear,
Just punch up the Island that you are visiting,
get the official tourist site, and book your own
package with local vendors. Many will come to
the ship to pick you up, give you much more
"in the water" or quality time, and save you
lotsa $$$$. And longer excursions...
Carnival made ONE BILLION in profits last year,
so just think about the kickbacks the"official"
cruise vendors have to "Give" Carnival...
Most local vendors are people who lived in the
US and prefer Island life, you can email them
to establish a relationship before you
cruise... You will probably save %30 to
%50 maybe more... and won't just be a number.
Same goes for the "Official" tourist trap
tshirt shops etc.... they probably kick back
%50.... to the "Fun$$$ Ships! To be listed
and talked about at all the "Secrets to
shopping meetings..." http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
See ya,
Have fun...

Ps- All prices for Liquor in St. Thomas are
identical, they have one Liquor Distributor
and all the prices are the same...the Liquor
Store Manager told me this after I Visited
three or four shops looking for deals...
Many of the Tshirts bought in St. Thomas
are made in Miami.... http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Have Fun!
