View Full Version : Smelly Glory? Recent cruisers help!

In reading some of the older posts, there seems to have been a strong sewage smell on the Main deck midships.

Do any of you recent Glory cruisers have any experience with this. Has it been corrected?

Thanks,

Mark

Cruised the Glory this past August and the sewage small on Main Deck was brutal. Couldn't use the balcony at times because the smell was horrible. Keep in mind however, that sailing was an early voyage of the Glory. I believe I read somewhere on these boards that the problem has been resolved. Happy Sailing :-)

I read in a magazine article once that there is a connection between bad odors and agression. I would hate to be put in a foul mood just because the ship smells.

Thanks GlenEllen, I'm hoping they did. Interesting that the smells were near the cheap cabins!

I think ships (all lines) use an insecticide during the night in stairwells. Have smelled it on all ships but only in the morning. I'm an early riser and wonder if some people might mistake that for sewage odor. With room service trays and food kept in the cabins I can see the necessity of the spraying.

The only place I smelled anything like that was near the laundry rooms. I think it was coming from the floor drains in those rooms. It was very localized. Or cabin was directly across from the laundry room and we had no real problems.
