Celebration is a great ship and has one the most complimented crews in the fleet. Though smaller than the newer mega-ships, it's plenty large. She recently underwent a major overhaul and update. We sailed her back in the summer of 2001 and will be taking the 'new and improved' version in about five weeks. We'll be sorry to see her leave Galveston--Jacksonville's gain.

Take a look here and you can get a virtual tour of the ship since her refurbishment. I have been on this ship twice but it was years ago when she was still doing the seven day routes out of Tampa and earlier out of Miami.

http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I call the Celebration the "best kept secret". This is an awesome ship with a top-notch crew who does not get the recognition it so deserves!
My family and I were on her in December and had a splendid time. You are in for a treat! Have a great cruise!

http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gifWe sailed the Celebration the past Dec. Not long after the re-furb. The ship is in realy fine shape, the crew was great. The main pool is small with a slide, the pool on the aft is a good size. I can only compare to the Rhapsody and Inspiration/Elation in size. Though the Celebration does not have the "wow factor" of a larger ship with a big atrium.....we still enjoyed our time and would sail her again.
Hope you have fun too !!!

I loved that site with the virtual tour. We sailed her last October and loved it. The pictures brought me back to lots of great memories!

We fell in love with the pizza on Celebration. We sailed on Celebration in March 2001 for our honeymoon. It was a beautiful ship and had a great time.

My DD was 6, close to 7 when we went in March and she had a lot of fun. The kids club itself is a pretty small area, but they do a lot of things elsewhere on the ship, so don't let the small physical space scare you. My DD also loved the family dancing activities in the GalaxZ disco where we did line dancing, etc. And she had fun in the video arcade, making ice cream sundaes with the group 1 night, swimming in the kids pool, which is located aft, etc. I think it was the next to the last night of the cruise when they had tee-shirt coloring and she got a free Carnival t-shirt. And she also received a free carnival tote bag when she went to the kids club on the last sea day.
If you go to the cruiseclues site as mentioned earlier, they have posted there my review of our March 2004 trip. We really had a great time, like many others on this board. (Hi Gina! :) We leave in just 6 days now for our cruise---I've gotta get going on organizing things around here. LOL Hope you & your family are all doing well. Summer school is finally over up here, so we're enjoying a lot of swimming! Take care.)
