I Need some help!

I have a group cruise coming up with my family. I told everyone at the beginning of the month that it was time to pull out their birth certificates. I already did everyone's funpass. My question is a couple of them pulled out or sent away for new birth certificates and when they looked at them, their given names on the birth certificate are spelled different than what they have known their entire life. My uncles name is Lloyd and on his birth certificate it is spelled loyd. His drivers license, social security, everything is spelled lloyd. The other person a friend of the family on her birth certificate she has 2 given first names and had no idea! She has always just used the first name, and as said everything, social security, drivers license and all only has her first name. I know I can go up and have TA change funpass info but what about drivers license and SS#? Do I just leave everything the way it is or do they need to correct everything? These people are in their 60's and had no idea that this was different! Thanks!!!!

Neither seems to be a big problem. The spelling of the Lloyd may not even get noticed and as long as his driver's license has his date of birth you should be ok.

Also, the two names, since many people do not use their entire name on SS card and driver's license it should pass. Mine do not match exactly because birth certificates use middle name but I only use initial.

I agree with Hoski. I wouldn't think there would be a problem at all...these are minor things. As long as the picture ID and the docs have the same name, they'll be just fine.

I have same thing with mine and I have never had problem..I was born with no e after first part of my first name and I have added it myself and not on my Birthcertificate that way. No one has ever said anthing to me about it. If you are really unsure I would call carnival Rep and explain the situation and find out if it will be ok..just to ease your mind ahead of time ok.

Don't worry. I don't even use my first name and that's the one that is on all my documents. As long as the photo and the birth dates all match, you shouldn't have a problem.

You can still change the names in the Carnival system for free up until final payment is made. Which for you is a few days from now since you booked as a group. Call your travel agent and check on it.

What is a fun pass?

Fun Pass is where you have to go online to fill out the info, like in the documents they send you. Supposedly, it will make embarkation easier/faster.

Probably somebody who has actually used it can explain better.
