upgrades?????? NEED ADVICE!!!!

I was wondering about how to get upgrades. I keep reading posts about people getting upgraded. I have been on 9 cruises and have NEVER been upgraded at all. According to the posts these folks did not book guarantee either. Help, I am a bargain cruiser and would love to get upgraded at least once!!!

Here is my advice...
1) Check prices daily online. Once you see a price drop - call your TA!

2) Be persistent yet Polite!

3) Don't be afraid to ask - even if it is different by a little bit

4) When all else fails.. keep trying!

Catrin, very good advice. I'd like to add one thing. BEFORE you book, ask your TA if they honor price drops and if they will try get you upgrades and shipboard credits in the case of price drops after final payment. If not, book elsewhere.
