What is the sales tax in LA/Long Beach....

Since I live in the area, I don't use local hotels. But, I did stay in San Diego for work recently (2hrs south of L.A.) and they charge a 10% occupancy tax in that area. Could be similar in L.A.

call and ask the hotel. Every community is different. They can and will add sales tax, room occupancy tax, possible energy tax, city tax, state tax, if they just built a new sports complex thats another tax, etc,etc.
