We are doing a 7 day to Alaska on Statendam and the docs say 2 formal, 1 informal, and the rest casual. Following this we are staying on the ship for a 3 day repositioning but the docs for this segment do not indicate anything about evening attire. Words of wisdom? Thanks.

Is the 3-day cruise a "stand-alone", or is it part of a longer cruise that has a secondary boarding port? That could make a difference.

You could call Seattle and ask about the dress codes for your evenings aboard. Or, since you already have clothes for your 7-day cruise you could just recycle. You should already have everything you need.

Ship is going on to NZ. Yeh, I can recycle, but just trying to decide whether to bring a sport coat for informal or wear a suit that night.

If you have been on for a 7 day cruise you should have everything that you will need. On a three day cruise you never know what you are going to get. On a three day cruise on the Oosterdam the home office said 2 casual and one informal. When we got on the ship it had changed to all casual. This happened once before on the old Westerdam where 2 informals were listed and they had none. If it is a segment of a cruise and not soley a Pacific Coastal then you will probably have a formal or informal. Have a great cruise.
