What are the Antigua Taxi Rates?

We would like to find out the rates for the taxi's in Antigua-trying to figure if we are better off renting a car or just get a taxi.
(we ar a family of 4)

1. Do they charge you per person or a car load?

2. We will dock at the heritage Quay Port how much would it be to take our family of four to Runaway Bay Beach?

3. How much would they charge for a tour of the Island?

Any Help Please! Having a hard time getting some answers on taxi's and renting cars.

1. per group of up to 4.. then for additional people its a % of that initial fee.

2. Runaway is soo close that i can't imagine it being as much as $15 for 4 people.

3. A very good island tour for your family will be about $100 but that rate seems to change quite a bit depending on who you speak with. There are many good operators and some very bad ones. This forum pushes a few of the better ones but there are many who are even better. After all there are more taxis and land tours than people visiting antigua.

Can you suggest a good tour guy? How do we find a decent one at a fair rate?
