We will be cruising on the Massdam on September 23. I read on the HAL website that they now have a Poker Table with a Texas Holdem game in the casino. Has anyone played in this game on HAL? What are the stakes, blinds, rake and any other info. would be appreciated. I sent an email to HAL with these questions but their reply was no help. We are really looking forward to our cruise!

I'm wondering the same thing about the Volendam. One fellow said it was there in the casino. Before on Zuiderdam it was in a small room near the Explorer's Lounge. A year ago there was only one table that you signed up for ahead of time and then showed up at a certain to start playing. Most people bought in for around $100, I believe the blinds were around 1/2 or 2/3 and it may have been limit. Anyway it seemed like a friendly game with average players, nobody taking it really serious. I only watched DH played. I love poker but on a cruise ship I don't usually gamble for some reason? The promenade deck with a sea breeze?? heehee He had a great time. Seemed like there was a game each day, I think he got in on about 3 days or so out of a week.
