Hi everyone. I am booking a cabin on the Carnival Legend and we are going on May 31st out of NY. We live near Philadelphia. Has anyone ever found an inexpensive roundtrip transfer - preferably by bus and not so expensive.

Thanks

HI! We sailed the Legend last October out of NY. We took a Limo bus but there were 9 of us which the cost roundtrip only $75/pp. Have you tried Dave's Limo? I think they were about 75 a person roundtrip also. The only thing there is when you arrive back in NY - then you call them and have to wait for them to arrive. Good luck!

I called Dave's Limo last night. They wanted over $300 one way for the two of us. I would need to go with a group. It turns out my f-i-l lives in North Jersey and offered to take us to the pier if we drive to their house. That's what we are going to do, unless I find others from the Philly area going on the same cruise that want to share a limo.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

We have sailed from NYC to Canada a few times. We loved it. We found the best way for us was to go to Mt Laurel, NJ and park for free at the Greyhound terminal and take a bus to NYC and then a 5 minute cab ride to the pier. Cost was about $38pp plus $8 cab fare. When returning from ship cabs are lined up and numbers given and called quickly. Buses run just about every hour. Check with greyhound for schedule.

Thanks for the suggestion Susan. This wouldn't work for me since I have to take oxygen and a wheelchair to the ship with me. That is why we were looking for another option. I have to bring a concentrator, tanks (in a milk crate), wheelchair and our luggage. My husband couldn't do that by himself.

Thanks though,

Hi Mrsgoofy! I can't believe that price for Dave's Limo!! That's nuts!!!!! I think the way you are going to go is probably the best way since it is only 2 of you!!! Good luck and have a great trip - the Legend is awesome! Can't wait to sail on her again in October!!!!
