Cab fare from Miami Airport to Embarkation/pier?

Any general ideas on what the fare should be for this little excursion? I don't want to get "taken", and I remember that it was not too far from the airport from the other cruises.

Flat rate of $21 per taxi (not per person) in either direction - pier to airport or airport to pier. Takes about 15 minutes depending on traffic.

Be careful about knowing where your going. We got taken on our way back to the airport. The taxi driver went all over town before getting us to the airport. It cost us $21.00 down and $44.00 back. Good luck.

You just tell them that you want the Flat rate of 21.00 to take you directly to the airport!

Flat rate cabe/shuttle rates are posted at the airport stand. Check it as they may go up daily w/ what is going on w/ gas prices. In 11/02 cab driver had a bunch of waiting time to get into the pier and "tried" to charge us meter, about $30. Had bill of the right denomination so I handed hime exact fare and his tip became negligable. This tourist will seldom be a patsy.

Is the shuttle or cab better to take?

If you are 1 or 2 people the shuttle is cheaper, but longer with all the pick up/drop stops. If you are a group of 4 or so a cab is about the same and faster.
