I have been on RCI and Celebrity but not Carnival. We had no problem bringing in a bottle of vodka and rum and a few mixers in our carry on. Will we have a problem with Carnival?? Also we are going to bring a couple of bottles of wine for the cabin steward to give to our waiter and pay the cork fee....is this the way it works on Carnival too? Thanks. We leave May 20th.

If you bring liquor on in your carry on it will most likely be detected and taken and held until the last night. You may bring wine on board in your carry on but you do not give it to your steward to give to your waiter you take it your self to the dining room and give to your waiter where you may or may not be charged the $10 corkage fee. If you do not finish the bottle of wine your waiter will save it for you for the next night or you may take it with you.
