That would be the ubiquitous "genuine 24 karat solid plastic ship on a stick."

Occasionally given with the "custom transparent carrying case."

Perhaps something else as well. Watch this space.

On the Pride last May, we all received a cheap bottle of champage (The cruise director said most champagne bottles have a vintage year date on them, these have expiration dates) and a medal to hang around our neck. There were no real winners, we all received the same thing.

My sister and I sang in March on Triumph in the Talent Show and got a bottle of champagne (at least the label said that http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif) and I gave it to my Room Steward but kept the two of the "ship on a stick" http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif....

Actually the talent show is not really a contest per se, lovely wife 'Karaoke Grandma' sang 'All That Jazz' from Chicago and said the experience was absolutely fantastic and all 6 singers got the ever present "24k genuine plastic ship on a stick". this was on the Conquest last Feb 22 "disaster cruise", but the big prizes cost you money, they are won at bingo and in the casino, some are free cruises and cash winnings. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif Fair winds & following seas. The "24k genuine plastic ship on a stick" prizes are great conversation pieces back home. My 10 yr old son won $1000 bucks on the last day. He didn't share it either! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

How do you win a $1,000? ( aside from the Casino, which I hope your 10 year old wasn't frequenting).
I did the trivia thing and kicked everyone's butts, I never thought knowing things about Boy George and New Kids on the Block would come in handy.
I won the ship on a stick and a bottle of that champagne. We drank that crap on the last night and I swore I was going to vomit. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Littlegoo75,

It was bingo. I guess it doesn't qualify as a Talent Show Prize. But for him it was definitely a prize.

But I'll tell you just watching him jump up and run to the stage had me laughing as well as many others. He asked if he was going to get the ship on a stick, so they gave him one!

I'm glad we didn't embibe any of that world class champagne from what we've heard. They tell me it gives you a headache! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

My husband participated in the hairy chest contest and got a free chest rub from a total stranger. Does that count?

Wow- That is cool for an adult to win $1,000 on Bingo, I could just imagine how happy a 10 year old would be. Good for him.
Yeah, stear clear of that Champagne - I would have rather won a 2 liter of Coke!

I got my genuine 24k solid plastic ship on a stick for winning "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" on the Triumph. John Heald was my last lifeline, how cool was THAT?
