Can drink coupons be purchased on board? We are traveling with a large group, therefore have no booking number or cabin number.
It would just be easier for us to buy them on board.

No, the drink coupons must be ordered beforehand.
Those with guarantee category bookings have this same issue.

One more thing about the drink tickets: They will not be waiting in your cabin either they will be presented to you on the first night in the dining room by your head waiter

I second the needing to call. I have a GTY room and no cabin but was able to purchase over the phone.

One other caveat. The drink coupons only save you money if you use them for foo-foo (frozen) drinks. Basically you save the 15% tip.
If you use them for "regular" drinks, you will have paid more for the coupons than the drink costs.
Most bars won't accept them for high price (> than ticket price) call brand drinks either, although sometimes they'll let them slip by.
