I'm from Duluth, also. There is a group of cruisers from Minnesota that get together during the year. Pbjorlin from Duluth was arranging something after the new year. Haven't heard anything about it in months. There are lots and lots of cruisers from Minnesota, just not to many on Carnival boards. When I contacted Paul about joining them, he said most cruised with other lines. I'm a Carnival junkie and darn proud of it!!!

By the way, I did live in MinneSODA http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif for 10 years so I think that gives me dual cititzen ship. That and the fact that I can navigate well in both downtown Minneapolis and the drunken Irish streets of St.Paul.

So when are we gonna have ourselves a bonafide Midwest Meet & Greet?? Any takers?

Another Minnesotan checking in here...'cept I live so far down in the SW corner that I'm almost in Iowa! We will be cruising on the Paradise on June 13th.

Hubby and I were visiting kids in St. Cloud last weekend and got caught in the wildest storm ever on way through Hutchinson on Sunday...wow! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif They were showing video of the storm on Weather Channel that night...if you looked closely you probably saw us drive by!! We got back to our part of the state just in time for more storms and lots of tornadoes! It was 93 degrees that day and by Thursday we had snow...if you like variety in your weather, Minnesota is the place to be!! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

We were in St. Cloud when that storm hit also. Our DIL graduated from St. Cloud State and we had alittle party for her during the storm.

territax...my son graduated from SCSU on Sunday also...couldn't get him to attend the ceremony but we had our own little celebration instead on Saturday night! Three weeks from today the same son will be getting married in St. Cloud so we will be back up there again!! Our cruise is the week after the wedding...that should be a great way to relax and unwind after all of the hectic pace of the wedding celebration!

PammyHound....no, no, no...you were NOT in my neck of the woods if you were in Owatonna! That's 2 1/2 hours away from here!! I am in the "corner" of Minnesota...only about 10 miles north of the Iowa border and 50 miles east of the South Dakota border...right on I-90!

We do have some very good friends that live in Owawtonna though...seems like a very nice city from our visits.

Hey all,
Another Minnesotan checking in. We are from Woodbury, been here for about 6 years. DH and I are originally from WI though, and although we are Packer fans, we are bigger T-wolves fans. We are heart broken over their loss today...we'll be at the Target Center on Wed. for game 7...Go Wolves!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, we are cruise-a-holics and would love to get together with fellow cruisers! Heck, wouldnt it be great if we could fill up a ship with just Minnesotans?
