1 What is the normal soda price if you buy them individually? The soda card is 18.75 for 20 sodas
and
2 What is the normal price for speciality coffees? The coffee card (with mug) is almost $40 for 8 - that's about $5 per coffee!!! But if it's a better deal I want to get it.
Thanks for your help!

Unless there's been a price increase that I don't know about a can of soda is $1.85 plus 15% service charge, for a total of $2.01.

I don't recall the exact pricing in Oosterdam's Exploration's Cafe but I do remember that a tall Mocha or Late was cheaper on board than it is at Starbucks on land and they tasted pretty good!

The coffee card includes a travel mug, plus the 8 coffees. So my guess is that the travel mug is $10-15, so the coffee ar probably in the $3-$4 range, I just bought two coffee cards for our cruise in October, I generally dont drink soda so I didnt get a card.

Golly all this talk of pay, pay, pay, can one get a free coffee on a HAL ship or do I need to bring my own?

Yep, free "normal" coffee + tea 24 hours a day in the Lido restaurant, Miss Kiwi;) How's the All Blacks doing?

HAL Ships Windstar Cafes feature Torrefazione Coffee. This is the brand label that Starbucks uses for coffee sold outside their own shops.
Windstar coffee prices are lower than Starbucks coffee prices.

speaking of drinks... i thought i had read that there is a 24 drink bar where you can get tea, juices, lemonade and water for free. is that true?

It's not a Bar, vpoopsy; it's in the Lido. There's coffee/tea/hot chocolate/water there 24 hrs/day. Juices are available whenever the buffet is open---if they're not on display you can ask for them.
Lemonade is something I never see.
You can also get water at any lounge, or ask a bar steward passing by.

We are leaving November 1st on the Zandam. Do I have to buy these cards before we sail or can you buy them on the ship? If I get them in advance, is it cheaper and where do I buy it? Player 91362

Hi Frank -
I found another forum - and it was a question I wanted to ask. Anyhow - how did you buy the coffee card already. I also need to buy a soda card for my husband and mother in law and would like to do it ahead of time. Let me know how one goes about this. We are novices at this. I am biding some time waiting for my mother in law to come down and eat lunch - then back out in the yard!!

Perhaps slightly off topic.....but the regular coffee on HAL has gotten much better. It used to be extremely strong and bitter on HAL. I love it now.:)
