Their website has not been dependably stable for any length of time in what seems like forever. Maybe with a 12-hour window they're doing something significant. (We can hope, can't we?)

Websites can be touchy, and particularly so when advanced html, java, etc. features are included in the essential operations. Combine this with server maintenance issues due to server age and internet backbone problems and you have a recipe for disaster.
In my opinion, HAL's website problems escallated when they tried to "fancy" it up without matching the increased server-needs with increased server capacity.
Sometimes simpler is better.

The average connection rate Worldwide is still 28.8 BPS. SO yes the K I S S principle is ever present and needed still.
Yes they need to buy more server nodes as well better pipe and Tier access.
Thats why Verizon (VZ:NYSE) bought just out of bankrupcy, CH 11 , MCI (MCIP:OTC) for mainly the companies as clients but they MCI has TIER ONE Access.
Ivan the Chairman of VZ called MCI the last beachfront property... it was a great buy ... for them.
HAL since the consolidation with CCL's services has well not been as nice when they had it on there own.. ... subing out sometimes does have difficulties as you loose the control and character.. but less cost basis is a very M - portant factoring..

Carnival's website has always been pretty unreliable too. Maybe their IT department needs to outsource it to their neighbor Microsoft (say what you will about their software, but they can put together amazing websites)
