When do TA's give back the blocks they have reserved???

I am curious, because Carnival is showing my cruise as "Sold Out", which is unusal for an early November sailing. Anybody know?

...This is something we usually keep an eye on as this situation usually leads to discounts or onboard credits. Large travel agencies that book a block of cabins tend give them up approximately 72 days proir to the sail date. As these cabins go back into Carnival's inventory, prices drop between 72 days and 60 days of sailing. I'm not a travel agent, but this a trend that we watch on every cruise. ...Hope this helps...

That same thing happened when I was trying to book my Glroy cruise..one site showed cabins another none and then when I would call they would be showing was very weird..but was explained the same way above to me. They are held then if no sale released back out and usually lower sometimes higher as in my case higher cabins went crazy^^$$

We love: if your ship is sold out I doubt very much you will get a credit. Check back in a few days and maybe all the people who called and asked to put a hold on those cabins will be released in 24 hours.
