Hard Rock is only about 15 minutes away from the cruise pier and usually not a traffic problem. Note that because of Florida law the casino only as slot machines and poker...no real table games. I went through it just before opening and it looked like a prettu nice place. Enjoy!!

Yes they have a very nice gift shop. It is a very nice slots casino and very close to the port.

Hope you enjoy.

Toon. No,I have not stayed there. I'm sure the rooms are nice as it is brand new. It does not have the reputation as the place to be like the Las Vegas Hard Rock. The biggest drawback in my opinion is it sits in an area on the edge of town all by itself and nothing around. They do have a club onsite and restaurant. The casino although very nice is kinda lame(IMHO) the slots are video and just don't seem the same and yes they do have some card games but no blackjack or other well known games. My biggest complaint is that there is no published or regulated payback % (how much is the house keeping?). Personally as a frequent guest in Tampa (even though I live nearby)I would choose to stay elsewhere although I'm sure the hotel itself is nice.

I was just at the Hotel/Casino today. Took my 80 year old mother there to gamble. Unfortunately all the negative reviews I had read before we went were right on target. The slots didn't pay at all. They are not regulated, so there is no inCENTive for them to give people a chance at winning. We blew $100 in an hour and paid $9 for 2 beers and 1 coffee. It was very smokey and not at all what we were hoping for. I am sure the hotel is nice, but if you are looking to gamble, I'd steer clear. Good luck whatever you choose.
