Has anyone heard of an entertainment book discount? It said on entertainment.com that you can get $100 of Carnival but no details. Was wondering if anyone else had researched this.
Looking to book 5 day western caribbean out of New Orleans and stay a couple days there beforehand, 11/1-11/6
Another question I have is has anyone booked that option of a "Guaranteed cabin" in the oceanview class rather than selecting a partic cabin? I noted it was cheaper and seemed like you might get upgraded to a better cabin, but then again, maybe you'd end up with the WORST cabin in that class...Anyone tried it?
I've never cruised with Carnival before, only Disney...Thanks!

Don't know about the coupon, I've never used one although I've seen them. It's usually $100.00 off a 7 or more day cruise and $50.00 or $25.00 off a shorter cruise. I do know about booking a guaranty cabin, however. We booked a 6B on the Fascination for a 4 day cruise and ended up with a cat 12!!! I'm sure that's a rare occassion, but we lucked out. I picked 6B because that was the deck I wanted at the very least. Could've ended up with the "worst" 6B and would've been happy though! Any cabin is a good cabin when you're on a cruise, in my book!

And the coupons are typically subject to blackout dates.

Perhaps something else as well. Watch this space.

There are all sorts of restrictions with the coupon. We couldn't use it on the Miracle since it's a new ship. It's also only good on certain type cabins and as Tom said, certain dates are not good.

and Costco won't take it because they have already discounted the rate.
