My first HAL cruise on the Maasdam Oct 17-28

I have the tickets for my first HAL cruise. I’ll be on the Maasdam, October 17 – 28, cruising from Norfolk. Norfolk is less than a two-hour drive from my home and I could not miss the opportunity to take advantage of this sailing. I’ve cruised from Norfolk on two occasions. The itinerary includes islands that I’ve never visited, but always wanted to see. This is also the first cruise that I’ve taken that is longer than seven days. I have only cruised on Carnival before, and I know that I am in for a totally new experience, and I’m ready for it. I’ve been doing a lot of research including reading these message boards for months; so keep the information coming.

Does the spa have a sauna/steam room that passengers can use without an appointment? Is there a fee for the service?

Hi ID; DW and I are also taking our first HAL cruise on the Maasdam Oct. 17. We're driving to Norfolk from Baltimore the night before and staying at the Radisson on Monticello Ave.

The sauna/steam rooms on CCL, RCCL, and X, I believe were no appt. necessary and no charge. I would think it's the same on HAL.
