Need Advice From Former "Skyauction" Cruisers

Yo-

We have won a Skyauction cruise for 12/11/2004 on the Carnival "Spirit"-

When I try and entering their group number for the cruise on the Carnival site for advanced booking it says something like "does not recognize reservation number"

Questions:
- when do you receive your actual Carnival booking number?

- do you have the opportunity to upgrade?

- did you upgrade?

- did you have the opportunity of getting Carnivals airfare or transfers to/from the port?

Any insight into this "never/never" land of skyauction would be appreciated-

Are you sure about the name of the ship you are on? What port will you be going from, because I went to the Carnival site to check for you and it says no sailings for this ship this month. Looks like they have her dry docked for a few months. But of corse, this may just be a computer glitch. I am booked on the Holiday for that exact sailing date, so maybe it is another ship and this is a glitch you will need to work out with Skyauctions. As far as I have heard they are a reputable company, some friends booked (won) a trip with them last year. Good luck to you though, I am sure it will be a good time after you figure it out. Theresa

We cruised the Conquest through skyauction in February and the booking number was with the documents. We had an oceon view and did not request an upgrade but you can email them and ask if that's possible. We live close enough to drive to New Orleans where the ship departed so we did not need airfare. Skyauction is very good about replying to any email requests, they get back to you in about 24 hours.

Not to worry, I just checked my booking engine and the Spirit is sailing an 8 night Baja/Mexican Riviera cruise on 12/11/04. Just figured I would let you know, before you got all excited that maybe the cruise didn't exist.

Sorry Big Mike, Should have known it was just a computer error. Your cruise is now showing up on the carnival site. You will get your paperwork soon with the number on it, try to put it in the system then. I'm sure it is all good, and I like normal, spoke to soon.
