This thread triggered an idea. The ever industrious on board photo staff could perform a public service if they'd troll the pool deck taking rear view pix of speedo and thong wearing sun worshippers.

The subjects, who otherwise never view themselves from that angle, would greatly benefit to see these pix displayed alongside the boarding and formal night photos. :eek:

Many would immediately rush to the gym and spa, profiting both themselves and the cruise line. :p

Thats a deal. I know I am not one to talk - but atleast I know I look better WITH clothes.

And I think we should start a new RULE -- No photography allowed near the pool. I would hate to think my rear shot is the the background of anyones elses pictures.... Yikes...

I may be in my mid 50's and married for 30 years, but if you are male and have a good body, wear the speedo if you like. I won't buy, but I can look. ;)

Just my opinion, but the incentive wouldn't be to rush to the gym. Depressive thoughts at viewing such photos would be to sit at the bar & try 12oz. curls instead. 'Course that would still mean a profit to the cruiseline, wouldn't it? ;)

Now, first I am female, second I love the speedo with the crossback as you can actually swim in it and it is supportive and comfortable without showing to much...being that I am middle aged it is one of my favorite suits.
That said, I do not mind people wearing jeans either, the exception is on formal nights, I love a man in a suit!

In 2003 we were on a RCI cruise from Auckland New Zealand to Hawaii passing thru Tahiti, and this cruise just happened to coincide with the America's Cup races in NZ. If you remember the Swiss team was in the finals against the Kiwis and they won. Apparantly an interesting German travel agent booked about 700 Swiss on this cruise to include precruise activities watching the yacht races. Second day of the cruise is a beautiful sunny South Pacific day, and while I am not a big lay out by the pool kind of guy we did for a bit. I am 3rd Generation German American, and let me tell you there is nothing quite like 50 or 60 middle aged to old German men hanging out on the pool deck and almost all of them wearing Speedos! :eek: I can't walk by a Speedo store at the mall without that mental image. I should be able to sue someone!!!!:D

The following weekend, Brad hits the beach with his spanking new
tight Speedos, and his fist-sized potato. And for cryin' out loud - it's
worse than before! Everybody on the beach acts disgusted as he walks by,
covering their faces, turning away, laughing, looking sick!

So Brad goes back to the lifeguard again and asks him, "What's wrong
now?"
"Jeeeeeezz!" says the lifeguard....... "The potato goes in the front."
