Wife and I will be taking our first ever cruise on 12/06...I use a manual wheelchair.

I am curious about wheelchair accessibility in Key West, I am sure being a large tourist area and a part of the USA that the ADA applies to them like all states.

If anyone can share with us their own experience, of how easy/difficult it is to get around locations near the dock and the various shore excusrions we would be grateful.

Does anyone know of info/links regarding any local "paratransit" transportation available for the handicapped?

I don't anticipate you having any problems negotiating Key West as it couldn't be much flatter and ramps are abundant at businesses that might have a single step or two.

Sorry, but I am not aware of any information on paratransit services at this time.

Have a great visit!

Mike:)

Be aware that the sidewalks in Key West are very uneven as many have tree roots growing out of them.
