Tonight the Noordam departed NYC.
Our own CalmSeas is aboard.
The following are webcam captures ... first from the krooz-cams site, and then from the Statue of Liberty Hudson River Cam.

And, so, the Noordam cruises past the Statue of Liberty Bridge and on to another wonderful voyage to the Caribbean. In just six weeks I will be aboard her.

Thanks Revneal... Really liked your Voyage of the Spammed updates... Can't wait to read any messages you will give from your upcoming January cruise on the ms NOORDAM.
We are going back on the Noordam in March stopping at a couple of new ports for us - Barbados and Dominica. Really love that ship so we can't wait!!!

Not that I could find. I found several other webcams, but some of them appeared to be under the control of mad people ... they kept swinging all over the place, never settling in for one view.

Don't be surprised if I pipe in once in a while.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures. We are on the next cruise out of NYC. With an aft balcany cabin I can't wait to see NYC all lit up at night. It is hard to believe we are finally next.

Greg,
Thanks for the pictures. Now we are getting excited; we leave on the Noordam in eleven days. (Well, actually 10 days, 20 hours, 44 minutes, but who's counting?) Maybe we will be packed before then!
Also, we are impressed that you speak Hebrew.

Thanks Greg, as Ann & Peter pointed out, we're next :D we've got about 75 people tied to CC on the next trip and we're looking forward to meeting everyone.

:) Thanks. It is a required language for many Christian clergy and, especially, for doctoral-level work in Theology and Biblical Studies. My Biblical Hebrew is weak, at best, but good enough for me to use for preparing sermons from the Hebrew Bible. Koini Greek is my better Biblical language.

I would normally be very jealous ... but, with January 6 coming up I'm not TOO jealous. :D

Greg, those photos are fab! It is such a special treat to sail out of NYC in darkness with all the city lights aglow. :) Thanks for posting them.
I didn't know Calm Seas was on this sailing, too. I thought she was doing a back-to-back with the Jan. 6th cruise the second "back". Did she change her plans, or am I confused again?

Nope - LadyBird's plans have been consistent.
She's*taking up residence aboard throughout the holidays & our cruise on the 6th.
(I'm certain she'll have the staff whipped into shape by the time we arrive as well...)

We live a bit south of the cruise ship piers on the Hudson River (at GTS, Revneal) and I have been wondering if the ship that I regularly hear blowing a horn as it cruises past is the Nordaam. However, no horn last night. :(

Greg,
Thanks for posting these excellent pictures. I felt such a jolt of excitement perusing them over the weekend. It's such a magical experience floating down the Hudson River, especially when it's only 40 days away!!
