Hello, first time cruising on HAL 1/27/07 (11 day Noordam out of NYC)

Princess, RCCL and Celebrity always has a nice assortment of Pastries sometime in the afternoon..RCCL also had Seattles Best coffee.. Does HAL have a pastry area? Coffee..is Cappucinno available for free? Anyone know what brand of coffee?
Thanks..

Here's the scoop, to the best of my knowledge. If I'm incorrect in any of the details, I'm sure someone will come along and give you the right info:

On Noordam, you will find pastries and fancy coffee/tea drinks at the Explorations Cafe. The drinks will cost you roughly two dollars; I think the pastries are free of charge when you order a coffee/tea drink. They use Torrefazione coffee at the Explorations Cafe. In the dining room, you can order cappuccino and espresso free of charge. I don't know what kind of coffee they use in the dining room, but it's good.

In addition, there will be tea served in the afternoons in the main dining room, complete with pastries, cookies, and sweets, if I recall correctly. There should also be a Royal Dutch Tea on your cruise, which is a really fancy afternoon tea.

Enjoy:)

The pastries are free in the Explorations Cafe if you buy a coffee, tea, cappucino, etc.

You will find the same pastries at the Royal Dutch Tea as you do at the regular tea. Basically they are the same every day -- maybe a couple of more at the Royal Dutch Tea.

Tara:

You might have signatures turned off. Click on Jim's name, upper left hand corner. A menu will appear. Click on "view public profile" and then scroll down to where it says "pictures". Click on the community webshots link. Scroll down to "dessert extravaganza Veendam Dec 2004", and salivate to your heart's content.

If you want to see other people's signatures permanently, on the top of the page is a blue bar. On the left side it says "user CP", which means user control panel. Click on this, and you'll see another menu. Click on "edit options". Scroll down to where it says "thread display options". If you want to see the signatures, photos, and avatars (personal displays) of other posters, simply click on the box for each option.

Maybe this is information you don't need, so my apologies if I'm telling you what you already know.
