Will the price drop?

Hi Ya'll,

My wife and I are interested in taking a cruise on the Noordam at the end of January, although the prices are bit too expensive for us right now. Does anyone know if the prices will drop if there are still staterooms available close to the sail date?

Very hard to tell.

Some sailing the prices will drop. Other times - nothing.

Just keeping cheking every couple of days on HAL's site.

And if you have a TA, have him/her keep checking.

They may, but there's no guarantee. January's coming up pretty fast - I'd imagine that prices are almost as low as you'd find. You may be able to get a good deal on a guarantee stateroom in a few weeks.

As KK said, watch HAL's site like a hawk, or have a TA do it for you and advise you as soon as there is a price change. Good luck!

HAL ran a sale on this winter season's cruises already. It is not likely that they will have any others.

I would guess that prices won't drop. They are way past final payment time, and I'm sure they've already done what they need to do to fill the cabins.

Just checked my favorite site for the January 27 sailing. It looks like both the S Suites (most expensive) and the Cheap Seats are already sold out. They are always the first to go. Once that happens, it is a pretty good sign that the cruise is selling pretty well at prices quoted to the Travel Agents.

This cruise is heavily discounted at the moment, and I doubt that prices will drop further.

Two online TA's that I have used before are listing VH guarantees (balcony/verandah) for under $1,000 (one at $898!!!).

Great price for an eleven night cruise!

Don't wait too long, the ship will fill up fast at these rates!

Are you looking at the 10 or 11 night southern cruise at the end of Jan. I checked the Hal web site and almost everything is still available. I also checked the site we book from and its about $400 per room less than the Hal price.
I have never seen anyone actually list any web site other than the actual Cruise line site, so I will not mention this one but it is advertised on Cruise Critic! and the Initials are CVC http://boards.cruisecritic.com/images/icons/icon14.gif
