We're going on the Maasdam next May. Does anyone know if there is secure parking at the terminal in Boston? And what the charge would be per day? (Also, where is the terminal in Boston)?
Thanks.

Not sure of the parking situation but their website is www.massport.com. Black Falcon isn't too far outside of downtown Boston and being a small city not difficult to get to except for the usual city traffic issues.

Thanks AuntieBon. That website is quite helpful. We plan to stay at a hotel which is only a half-mile from the terminal.
But . . . "not difficult to get to except for the usual city traffic issues"
I've driven in B-aa-stan . . . I know better :D
(Thanks again for the website, it was a lot of help).

There is secure inside parking at Black Falcon terminal - I seem to recall that it was about $10 per day. It is very convenient to the pier - you drop your passenger and drive perhaps a hundred yards. Look for the Ted Williams Tunnel - on the continuation of the Mass Turnpike towards Logan Airport - taking the last exit before the airport - fairly well marked.

I just booked a the Boston/Montreal cruise for next August. May I ask where you are staying near the port? Are there several hotels to choose from in that area? (I haven't started that part of the reserach yet)
Thanks

We haven't done a round-trip from Boston in a couple of years, so this might have changed, but...
There is a secured parking garage across the street from the pier. You were allowed to pull up to the entrance to the pier, drop luggage and then proceed to the garage. Or, you could park and walk with luggage, but it's maybe a five minute walk.
There was a special cruise price for the garage. I don't specifically recall what it was, but $10/day sounds about right.
There was a major drawback to this, however: We live an hour south of Boston. We were off the ship, luggage stowed in the car and home by mid-morning, so by the time I was ready for someone to serve me a most excellent lunch, reality had set in. Some things are too efficient!

We plan to stay at the Westin--first because it's close, and second because it's part of the "Starwood Preferred Guest" program. We haven't booked anything yet.
I don't know about other hotels in the area :o

Another good web site.:)
The key for parking is security (obviously), then conveniece, then price.
