Hi shipmates.I,m going on Star & Sun in the next month and was wondering if anyone who has sailed recently know who are the cruise directors & assistants,also the maitre de,s.Merry xmas &happy cruising year

On the star, the cruise director at the moment is Michael Whitmore. the assistant is Troy (cant remember his last name, but he was funny) The maitre d' is Eduardo Manuel Ramos.

Anybody know where Dan Stein is these days. Spent 5 weeks on board Statendam Sep/Oct. they have no idea what a good cruise director is.:(

He, along with his ego, were on Pacific Star in March.:) Don't know where he is now.

I didnt mind him and i didnt really notice the ego. But i did find Michael Whitmore a bit more tolerable. He was full of the jokes that only the younger crowd would get.

i just came back from the xmas cruise on the pac star. the cruise director was michael whitmore, the assistant was troy.

Just came off the sun. James Ibrahim was our cruise director but I think he was heading home. Our MD Jean Paul was the most popular person on the ship and I think he was only there for 2 months and also heading home soon.

Hi wenmar. yes James got off ship today. Demo is back on board.
also Jean Paul ( he is so nice) has gone, and Flavio is back on.

I can't believe Demo is back on board. Does anyone know what Shona is doing? She said they were both leaving after they got married last year and were looking at a number of land based options. I guess they fell through?

Hi Charmain, my cruising buddies are on board the Sun doing BTB, and spoke to Demo yesterday. Shona was still at home on the GC.
last year after leaving as CD, she has travelled with Demo on quite a few cruises . they are a great pair and work so well together.
I heard the same as you about him leaving, but so far the Ship is winning...
which is great news for passengers....

I think 1/2 waiters are from the Phillipines so probably can't help.
