Here's a trivial question:

Taking HAL Zaandam 12/21 Circle Hawaii cruise ...

I'm a "tux" person ... should I also take a white dinner jacket because it's "the tropics"? Or just black tux jacket because it's winter?

Thanks for your opinions.

On the October 'Spamdammers' cruise to Hawaii, we had three formal nights and one of those was for the Black and White Dinner, followed by the Black and White Ball later that evening. You might consider your white jacket for that? I don't recall seeing any white jackets though(other than on officers! haha) though there likely were some. I wore white tie with my black tux on that special evening. If I was in the 'tropics' in the 'winter', I'd be delighted. Heck, do you know how many women carry white purses after Labour Day? or wear pearls before 5pm?:) I even saw one 'beauty' at the pool at the aft pool about 1030 in the morning, wearing her bathing suit and two strands of pearls. Okay, I know this is off topic, but people choose to wear what they want, when they want, you can too:D Have a fabulous cruise!

A white dinner jacket is perfectly acceptable. Your choice to take the weight and space.
Have a great cruise

Oooooo. A white dinner jacket with a black tie and maybe a vest.
I swoon. Take it!
