Hi,
Anyone who has done Alaska recently, which side for Alaska would provide the better views? Did Alaska on the Amsterdam several years ago and cannot remember which side we were on. We are in the midst of booking the Noordam.
Thanks,
Barbara

That depends on what you mean by "better" but most folks prefer the land-sde views - starboard on northbound, port on southbound.

At most of the glaciers, the captains tend to keep the port side of the ship facing them longer than the starboard side.
Does that help?

If you are planning a R/T cruise from Vancouver, I would recommend a Port side cabin.
When you are sailing northbound on day 1, most of the inside passage sailing is accomplished during the night. On day 6, you will be sailing southbound and most of that day wll be in the very scenic and beautiful inside passage. This trip just begs a verandah cabin!!!
Have a great cruise.
