shopping in Long Beach?

We will be staying at the Hyatt in Long Beach for two days next week prior to our Dec. 23rd sailing to Hawaii on the Celebrity Summit. I was thinking it would be fun to have some Christmas decorations in our cabin but I don't want to haul anything extra in our luggage across the country. Are there any drugstore/convenient/wal mart type stores within walking distance? Also, where does one buy booze in Ca. (drugstores here) and would there be any place that sells it close to the Hyatt?

My wife stayed at the Hyatt Long Beach hotel this past March prior to our cruise on the Summit to Hawaii. The hotel is very well situated to get to various places of interest in Long Beach.

About a five minute walk from the Hotel is a Walmart. I'm sure you can get what you are looking for there.
