Thanks for noticing this, Steamboats. Interesting that there's totally no mention of shore excursions, how they were arranged (especially with so few pax), etc. As the review does note, the "backdrop" is primary on such a cruise. And how embarrassing for the reviewer and the staff to have that meal service falter that way! Odd that there was no apology. It does seem that there was more mixing between Germans and others than we exprienced -- perhaps because the boat was only partially full. Overall, however, the smaller riverboat sounds like a good option (once we steal the balsamic vineger out of the kitchen :rolleyes: ).

Iīve contacted the reviewer and was told there will be another "part" in the "Come aboard" section of CC later this month dealing with more information about cruise, stops, shore tours.
