We had great fun on our Christmas cruise aboard the Dawn. The casino was going full blast every night. We're new to HAL and wondering how the action is onboard the Volendam. We're real slot fans.

On our Oct/Nov cruises on the Volendam, some nights the slots were very busy - some nights bot crowded.
Did not see a lot of payouts.

W were on the Volendam in 2003 and I loved the slots. Could be because I won $500 on a 25 cent machine. I'd been to play Bingo and had won $75, on the way back to the room, I put $20 in the machine and hit 3 red sevens. So, I had a good day.

In Dec. we found it most crowded on the two non- smoking nights. Don't know if any one "won big." I sure didn't! Sue

Last March, my DH and I were on the Noordam and we tried slots plus roulette. Lots of fun but did not win (but really don't expect to win and limit my gambling)- most nights the slots were crowded as were the game tables. Looking forward to cruising on the Volendam 3/3/07!

I came out pretty much even, I played the slots every night after dinner when hubby went to smoke cigars, I alloted myself X amount of dollars for the whole cruise and I came out about $5.00 short. I only do it for fun with the intention of losing of course, but I did win a t shirt and something else so it was fun for me and kept me occupied. Have fun! You are on vacation!

I have noticed the shortewr the cruise , the more active the gambling in the Casinos on all ships. People on longer cruises pace themselves so their $$ will last for the entire cruise..... at least tht's what we do...

We were recently on a 10 day Volendam. Casino tables were fairly busy. Slots were really tight in my opinion. After the first few nights, not many people were playing anything other than nickles or pennies..

When we were on the Vol the casino was quite busy depending on the time of day. I am not a gambler and thoroughly enjoyed the $1 machine which was quite generous to me. They also have penny slots which were a lot of fun to get rid of odd change

Does HAL offer a casino card - much like Atlantic City or Vegas?
