We did it! As past Renaissance passengers (and fans), we're thrilled to have booked on The Insignia's Athens to Barcelona 8/3/05.

Originally we booked an aft cabin (Cat B #6090), but found that Oceania is now offering Concierge Class service in Category A1 and A2....so we upgraded for to A2 for about $170/PP. Now we're in aft cabin 7116.

Concierge service includes :

Welcome aboard bottle of champagne;)
Refrigerated mini-bar
DVD player
Cashmere blanket:confused:
Complimentary tote bag (you can never have too many:D )
Handheld hair dryer
Upgraded bathroom amenities and toiletries
Priority embarkation and dedicated check-in desk:D
Priority luggage delivery to stateroom:D
Priority specialty restaurant reservations
Complimentary pressing of two garments
Complimentary shoeshine service

That is very nice. It shows that Oceania does (at least sometimes) listen to their customers. Now there will be minibars/fridges in balconied cabins (which many people wanted and mentioned before), and on one of our previous postings, we complained about the "built in" hair dryers with those easily breakable, leaky hoses ("Barcelona to Venice April 10 - 24, Part IV" by Meow!) So replacing it with a "hand held" model will be good.

However, when you mention priority this and priority that, I have a question. Since more than half of the ship's cabins are category A and above, how can you give "priority" to the majority? Priority only works when a relatively small fraction is given that privilege over the majority. Besides, if the majority (A and above) is given priority, then the remaining minority (B and below) must be left to the last, and complaining! Any ideas? Thank you.

We were in a Penthouse Suite, and there was no priority for anything. Even getting on or off the ship.
