When I booked my cruise, I put down my mother's name as Judy, not Judith. Will this cause a problem? Can I change it? I have not yet made my final payment--does that make a difference?

Yes, you can change it with RCCL direct, or call your TA and have them do it.
I would change it if it does not match her passport or other documents needed to board. ;)

As a TA, I have had clients run into trouble by not having their reservation in the name as shown on their passport. Please call RCL or your TA and get it changed! When you do your "set sail pass", use the correct name as shown on passport! Have a great time!

Truly, should not be a problem. We cruised with our mother in law a couple of years ago. At the dock, she informed us that her birth certificate says LOUIS, even though she is LOIS. She doesn't drive, so she didn't have a driver's license either. If they let her on board, you're fine!

I agree!

The restrictions today are a lot tighter since 9/11

My mom's birth certificate says "Bonita" but she was registered as "Bonnie." She didn't even get questioned on Princess.

I think it depends were you are sailing to and from, Celebrity insisted last March on the Summit that the documents match excatly. Just have it changed, you have until 30 before sailing to change so long as it is changed before they print the manifest.

Change it... now! If you fix it before final payment there will be no "name change" fee.

Chances are, you could get out of the fee and probably be okay at the port... but why chance it? It takes the time of one little phone call and then you can rest easily. Do it before final payment.

For every one that gets through without difficulty... there are another 5(that don't frequent these boards) that do have problems...

Thanks for the good advice--I can aways count on that from CC. I will change it before final payment.
