we are cruising to alaska may 18th on the amsterdam... since we come from florida, we will arrive the day before....any suggestions on a moderatley priced hotel for the night where we can get a reasonable cab fare to the port??

Check out the Hampton Inn and Suites Seattle (http://www.hamptoninnseattle.com/), and Silver Cloud Inn - (http://www.scinns.com/lake.htm)Lake Union. Hotels are not cheap in Seattle; these will run you somewhere around $175 per night. Maybe you can get a better rate via a "bid for travel" site like priceline, or thru AAA or AARP, if applicable. Aloha.... I looked and found a Clarion close to the pier for around $118 and they have free pu service from airport. Supposedly only 10 min to docks.
