Hi,
I'm going on the Dawn on July 25th. We are booked in a AA Category with access to the butler and concierge. Would those with experience on this ship give us an idea of what an acceptable tip is to the butler and concierge. Thank you for your help.

I think it depends on how much you use them. We were on the Dawn with an AB and we had bfast every morning in the suite, delivered by our butler. We also had him return towels (once), library books (once), dvds (twice) and bring desert each night from the restaurants. We gave him $200 for a 7night cruise. The conceirge we used a lot less. The only thing she did for us is move an excursion around (she comes to your room and discusses your plans for each port) and my shoe strap broke one night and she had someone sew it for me by morning - which was great. We gave her $50.00. These two service people are NOT included in the auto grat. Make sure to tip them accordingly!!! Have a great time - the Dawn and the penthouses are FABULOUS!

Thanks for the reply. We had a butler on our last cruise with Celebrity to Alaska. I believe that we gave him $150.00 for the week. I was wondering if we were in the right ballpark, seems like we were.
Thanks again. Can't wait to be on the Dawn.

We were on the 5/16 Dawn sailing in the Owners Suite. We had breakfast each morning in the suite served by the butler (always right on time). We also had Ruth take care of our excursions and changing around all of our dinner reservations as needed. They were both terrific!!! We figured that 2 people in the suite at $10 per day came to $120 for each (not counting the first and last days as full day service). Seemed to make sense at the time ;-)

Sclauss,
Thanks for the addl input, sounds like what you did is right to me. Same ballpark as we did on our Alaska cruise. How was your stay in the Owners Suite overall? We're going to be in room 9506.

I was in the other corner 9006 (I think it was the Madison Suite). It was just wonderful! I spent a lot of time lounging on the front balcony. Service was great. Room was unreal. I'm going to try to do the same upgrade on my Dec Dawn cruise. It was nice coming "home" to special treats every night.
