do they have shampoo and conditioner on HAL ships, or do I have to bring my own?

Just returned from the Maasdam in an inside cabin. I had shampoo but not conditioner. Anyone else? It IS entirely possible my cabin steward just didn't provide it.

On the Westerdam they only provided shampoo, soap, a showercap and bodylotion.

Thanks for the heads-up on this one. We will be sure to bring our own.

What category were you in?

It's always a good idea to bring yor own. Ship brand (even on the best luxury line) can't be created for all different types of hair.

We had shampoo only on the Oosterdam in May.

The shampoo we have had on our last few cruises was Royal Dutch Conditioning Shampoo and it was very nice. I used it all the time. If you run out just ask your cabin steward for more.

However, if you use a particular brand at home, I would bring my own. Just put some into a smaller bottle and then you don't have to lug a big bottle. Do the same with the conditioner.

We had only the Royal Dutch shampoo. In addition, they did not sell conditioner in the store onboard so be sure to bring your own if you use it. We liked the shampoo a lot though!

I bring and use my own whenever I travel so I can bring all the little minis home. I know I am not the only one that does that, my sister does too so maybe it runs in the family? Anyway, I could literally fill a large trashbag with all the stuff I have accumulated from cruises and hotels and have very good intentions of donating it sometime soon, I just keep forgetting. :o

:)

On the last number of cruises (different ships) we have had Royal Dutch conditioning shampoo.

I have never had to carry my own conditioner - I find that HAL's brand works well for me.

gliles,

DW also brings the little bottles of shampoo, body lotion, etc home from both cruises and hotels to give to the local Women's Center and they are always so appreciative. :)
