I would appreciate any information, including pictures, regarding the forward-facing balcony cabins in category B1 (6000 and 6001) or category A2 (7000 and 7001) on the three Oceania ships. Is the inside of the stateroom and the balcony itself bigger than the standard side of the ship balcony cabin? Does the wind or sea affect these cabins?

I for one would not want a forward facing balcony cabin. Wind across the bow, added to ship's speed, could be very breezy!

The forward cabins tend to have more motion in pitching seas, and are often noisier when thrusting or when lowering/raising anchor.

I much prefer midships where motion and noise is minimalized.

Having cruised in a vista suite many times we can tell you that there is NO view like the one coming into port from the front of the ship. You should
see our pictures.
The noise you get when the anchor is being dropped is part of the fun of cruising especially if you're not late risers.
We highly reccomend the front of the ship for a real cruise experience.

I have to agree with Druke I. We had a Vista suite on our only O sailing. Never again! Too much noise when thrusting or when lowering/raising anchor. Breeze across the bow wasn't too bad, but the pitching motion can be monumental when the wind is up.

ALL the cabins are the same size until you get to the penthouse or suite category!!! Including inside, excepting the "E" cabins which are considerably smaller. :)

Vista suites rock.
