Panama Canal Repositioning Trip

I see where the Magic will be repositioned on the West Coast in Summer 2008 with two trips through the Panama Canal. Has any of the CC'ers experienced this trip on a Disney Ship? Also we would be taking our daughter who will be 8 at the time. Is a 15 day trip too long for an 8 year old on a Disney Ship?

Our 7 day was too short and I have heard about others that did the repo in 2005 that LOVED it. They said that DCL went all out with new and extra activities to make sure no one was bored with routine.

Went on the Magic in 2005 when it was a 14-day cruise. A 14 or 15-day cruise is just right.
